As you might have heard, Discord recently announced plans to implement an invasive age verification system starting on March 1st, and I'm heavily considering disabling my Discord account in protest if they decide to go through with that. That raises an important question, though: are there any good alternatives to Discord out there? Comment below with any suggestions you might have.

I've heard anecdotes about it being a security risk, but at the same time, I haven't seen any hard evidence for that.
