2026 and I need perspectives

Hey everybody I hope you all had a good start to 2026. I wanted to write this so I can get some thoughts down for this upcoming year. Especially if you guys have some differing perspectives on what I can/should do.
Physical Items: how do you guys feel about physical items? I’ve been throwing the idea around in my head but I’d like some perspective. Ideally I’d like to start out by just making gifts of things like keychains and stickers for a few friends to get a feel for it and get a couple things for myself. But an issue is that I don’t have the means to really make that unless I go to a manufacturer of some sort. Then there’s an issue of things like copyright (granted most franchises do not care if you make merch - but it’s still a concern), I’d also have to alter my style to be more physical friendly. Do any of the artists who watch me have any advice? Or anyone with experience dealing with any of this?
About my MHP and Oc’s: I hate to say it but I think I have a problem with Oc’s , worlds, and overall interests/ambition. I’m sure my older watchers who’ve been here since I joined this site would notice this pattern- I’d get into something new (usually a franchise), obsess and work on either an AU or a world (Grootslangs), then after awhile drop it and nearly totally forget about it or have a severe lack of interest or will in continuing work on it. This is happening with my Monster Hunter AU, I just don’t really want to work on it at all and whenever I do I’m not passionate about it. Hell I’m dragging along on Hhvoh’s new ref. I just can’t sit down and work on it. And I feel awful because all these ideas and half finished drawings sit in a file and collect dust. I mean a part of me thinks I should get rid of like 90% of my ocs and designs because I’ll probably never use them again and I’ve only been keeping them around because of the memories (but idk if that though process is being driven by impulse). Especially ones like my Hollow Knight Oc’s, I thought with enough time away I’d come back to them but it’s been years now and I still don’t really care for them. I feel that my MHP Oc’s will be the same. I don’t really get this way with commissions since I have to finish them for someone else which is a motivation, but any personal project of mine is on a perpetual chopping block. I’m smart enough to know I have a severe problem surrounding fixations and lack of almost all ambition but not smart enough to know how to fix it.
Meticulous Commission Prices: I do plan on increasing the price for meticulous commissions and updating the art sometime this year (probably between summer and fall). I do plan on keeping sketches the same since they’re significantly easier and quicker for me to draw. However anything cued up before the change will retain the old prices. I may also update background pricing but I’m still thinking on it.
Anywho thanks for reading the ramblings of someone burnt out from the entirety of December.
