TN Update + Art News for November

Hi everyone!
So with me moving out from TN to a safer state tomorrow afternoon, I'm gonna have to close up custom commissions and my Etsy store for quite a while so I can update legal documents, adjust my prices for a new state tax, and do various other administrative chores that come along with relocating across the country. Things will likely stay quiet on my other socials during this period, but in the meantime I plan on posting older art onto here that I worked on between this past MFM and now.
Which speaking of MFM, I do need to be honest and share some rather personal news; I think it's safe to say that when it comes to furry stuff, I will not be coming back to Tennessee again after this move. Like, ever. My ties to Memfurs are officially severed and I have no plans to attend Nashum Fur Con next May, nor will I ever be attending Mephit Fur Meet for future years.
See, when I first joined furry spaces in this state back in 2022, I had a little bit of background knowledge going in about how divided the state's community had become since the pandemic, but over the past two years this division and infighting has exploded to a level of pettiness I had not seen since leaving high school. While I will not say my personal opinions on That Callout Document that I'm sure everyone who's local has seen over and over by now, I also find it highly repulsive that the other local groups have decided to use this as an opportunity to highlight every single mistake that their so-called "enemies" have made and use that as an excuse to post incredibly sensitive information under a false sense of "citizen justice". I mean this to say that the document has gotten so out of hand that I'm now seeing a few of my own friends, people who weren't even staff of the group that dissolved, getting literally doxxed and harassed solely because they used to be friends with the wrong people at the wrong time. Hell, even my own ex was forced to move out of the city in less than four months because some folks who helped write the document threatened to call the police on them, just to get revenge and instill fear onto both him and his current partner. Like, don't get me wrong; I had my own gripes with that group for not shutting down a pro-life user, and I'm 100% on-board with rooting out present-day nazis and sexual abusers from the fandom, but not like this. Not to the point where people who genuinely grew and left on their own accord are now being unwillingly sucked back into the past that they worked so hard to get themselves out of while they still could.
So yeah. I will no longer attend any meets (or conventions) held by any groups based in Tennessee until they stop going after each other's throats and begin acting like adults for a change. That's all I'm going to say about that.
In lighter news though, not everything will be doom-and-gloom as I take a break from commission work and Etsy orders; in fact, I actually have two HUGE things planned for the next two months: Monthly subscriptions and streamed commissions!
Subscriptions were a feature requested by a couple of folks in the past who wanted to support me at a much cheaper price than my commission rates. You can choose to subscribe for $2/month and get access to monthly character polls for fanart pieces (starting in 2026), but if you subscribe for $5 or more you will also be added to my monthly sticker club! Stickers will be designed for the next month and sent out on the 1st, so you can subscribe at any point before November 30th to get the design for December. Two more tiers after that one will also give you priority access to my queue, and discounts on commissions—including streamed ones!
I wasn't able to do streams after 2020 because my laptop eventually became incompatible with OBS, but now that I have a new setup I can finally get back to doing those again on Picarto and I'm super excited! Since these will be on-demand pieces done in one sitting, I'll be offering these at a discounted rate too. As of now I'm still crunching numbers but to give you a bit of an idea, a lined sketch done on-stream would probably be closer to $15-$20 instead of the usual $25. Additionally, streamed commissions are almost always half-body only so I can quickly move on to everyone else who reserved a spot for that day, and the stream won't end until absolutely everybody's requests are complete. That means I'll probably only be open for 4-5 spots at a time, which I honestly expect to fill up super fast given how it used to be back when I did a lot of streams, so keep an eye out for announcements on when those start!
So to sum everything up, Ko-Fi subscriptions will start next week and streamed commissions will be resuming after a five-year hiatus sometime in December. I was originally going to do the former on Patreon but their current onslaught against LGBTQ+ content has me really second-guessing that decision, so Ko-Fi it is. Until then, it's time for me to get settled into my new home and start making a whole world of new furry friends! :3
