My Absence and Moving Forward

Hello friends,
I want to explain why I’ve been distant from the furry community and animation work.
Too Long; Didn't Read:
Animation hasn’t been paying my bills, so I’ve been working long hours doing Uber Eats food delivery for below minimum wage. It leaves me drained with little time or energy to animate. I want to keep creating for you, but I need to find a sustainable way forward.
Full:
Commissions don’t cover my living costs, so I turned to food delivery. While I’m grateful my car keeps me going, the work is exhausting, and even after cutting back expenses, debt still grows.
Animations take me days or weeks to complete, and at my current rates, I simply can’t afford to make them. But I want to keep creating for you, because it makes me happy to see you happy.
So I need your input:
Should I keep pushing for an animation job, even though my portfolio is mostly adult niche work?
Should I raise my commission prices significantly (e.g. +$1000) so even one animation a month helps me stay afloat?
Should I find a different day job outside of animation with fewer hours but better pay?
Do you know anyone who’s hiring animators and could see my work as an asset? Even 3d furry groups working on projects?
I truly enjoy making animations for you all, and I want to keep improving. Right now survival takes most of my day, but I’m thankful to still be here, healthy, and able to create when I can.
Please let me know your thoughts. Thank you for reading ❤️

I feel like the three options you presented don't necessarily have to be mutually exclusive. For instance, you could use option 2 and up the price for your adult niche work; niche work costs extra for good reason, and given you've laid your reasons out here I don't think anyone would blame you for it. At the same time, though, you could combine that with option 1 and offer discounts (i.e. something similar to your old price) for animation work that you could put in a less-niche portfolio to advertise yourself with. Then while you're still looking for work with the industry you want, you could keep your options open still and keep an eye out for opportunities to take option 3. Though I think taking a combination of all three options could drain your time quickly, so option 3 feels like it would be the best to prioritize if you try to blend your options.
Wishing you the best of luck whichever way you decide go
Someone mentioned doing looped animations, that's another good idea to make animations and keep em' short and easier to make.
I hope you're able to find something helpful for the job side though, it's very important that you find an alternative for your delivery job that makes you less stressed and tired. It's gotta be a temporary thing for sure.
I hope things take a turn for the better.
If you think you could sell animations at that price point, go for it! Otherwise, it seems the only way forward would be (a) a different day job, or (b) to increase your efficiency and output animations in a shorter time period. That could involve changing the scope of your animations, or perhaps learning a new software suite or workflow to complete routine steps more efficiently.
Porn is a luxury item, and we dont know where this economy will go.
There are some wealthier furs who can pay 1k, but those are more few and far between than you might think. I dont mean become a salary man, but try to strike some sort of balance.
