Demented Kingdom of Tokyo Toy
I had plenty of work to close out last year and that's why I didn't publish anything (luckily that meant a good Christmas bonus, the first in a long time), but the most I can expect from here at Fur Affinity is this noisy silence that accompanies this new year of seeing how "the Ukrainian cause" is a Titanic for those who took the easy path of following an ideal that didn't need many brain cells of analysis to convince themselves if it was worth it or not. Something that since 2015 organizations like Amnesty International had been warning about as the complete opposite.
Here they blindly joined in believing it - without those from Amnesty or similar being able to be valued in what they said. When opinions about it began, I put in my own, with the difference that I really knew what this conflict was about (Euromaidan, 2014), going against the general opinion that was generated here.
Did I gain any respect for my opinion? Was there any intention to generate a debate on the matter to discuss it in a civilized manner? No, they went for the simplest option (and without even having to think about it): mockery against me, the blindest contempt –there were those who, with a cruel insult, stopped following me and blocked me- and censorship, with the administrators banning me for a week and attacking me with certain cunning attacks from the administration of this Community itself without being able to defend myself (cruel acts that, obviously, they will deny). In a display of arrogance, they even let me defend my case in the “Discord” chat, an act that was useless because at most I brought in evidence from sites like Wikipedia, BBC and Human Right Watch, they brought their friends from social networks to abjure me, and that last thing had more weight! Added to this, they were the “Almighty” Administrators of Fur Affinity and I was a poor subject put to the test without any chance.
I say all this because this year will be the third year of this aberrant situation, supposedly shielded by the “neutrality” that – I repeat – this community has cynically sheltered itself under, with the blessing of its devious administrators (who have often read and ignored what you are reading). It will be three years of the cruel Ukrainian neo-Nazi conflict, supported by kestrels and blindly convinced of the fascist idea, although history shows them, 80 years later, as the great failure of arrogance, cynicism and selfishness taken to animalistic limits (oh, the funny irony!) in the face of the unstoppable Russian advance (I am not surprised that Trump tries to ignore it). Having the doubts that I have about this new government in the US, offering to end the war in Ukraine (more for economic reasons than for humanity) if it became president again. And assuming that he had the intention to do so (with a Russian victory being inevitable, even if everything were decided in a bilateral discussion), there would only be a small tide of doubts poured out in this supposedly neutral Furry Community:
Was it worth having been drugged by so much Russophobia at the level of this furry community?, being too obvious that the “heroic” Ukrainian army was only a bunch of drug-addicted fascists, together with forced recruits –even elderly people and parents- as well as minors (all of this widely demonstrated by reports from media such as Fox News), can anyone in Fur Affinity still believe them worthy of their blind credulity, dedicating to them according to which fan art or fur-art under the false flag of “I am with Ukraine”?...
Will there ever be a public apology from the “Almighty” Administrators of Fur Affinity for what they did to me, the same ones who at the time prohibited me from using swastikas in my fan art? (even deleting them, which I accepted without complaint) even if I only used them for some onomatopoeia of bad words, a graphic resource so widespread and old in the world of comics?
As I said, that will be almost 3 years ago. The history and circumstances of what has happened in such a matter so blatantly shielded behind the -stubborn- supposed equanimity of a Collective like this has deeply demonstrated how wrong it has been to sympathize as it has with such a piece of garbage of idealism more than proven to be criminal and cowardly. It takes courage to admit a mistake of that caliber and try to fix it as best as possible instead of using impudence to sustain it or cowardly taking the blame.
Could a miracle of that magnitude occur in order to save the honor of this Community... or is this question too tricky for the delicate balance of the average Furrismo of Fur Affinity (and its morally invalid regents)?
