This whole Twitter situation is really confounded and idiotic really. From the rebrand, to "free speech" to this.
I hope that A) Elon steps down (won't happen), B) most of the changes Elon did are reverted, and C) rebranded back to Twitter. Or D) Bluesky gets more traction.
My bets are on D.

i know he got quite insane toward the politics in the past months, but honestly this was the only time i kinda understood him.
dictatorships are never good and i'm sorry for what's going on on that country.

That's the point, most of what he's saying it's not even true!

Brazil was going through a very rough time 2 years ago, when the other president was in charge (the one Elon supported). After the latest election, we got so much better. We are very far from a dictatorship.

So much so that the old money elite of the country is so pissy at the new president that they continuously post misinformation and try to make cue attempts happen to take him out (and failing because popular support is low at the moment).

The whole speel of 'free speech' elon is trying to portray is because he lost a lot of Starlink money here, since a governament investigation uncovered a big operation of it being used for illegal lumbering and mining operations at the Amazon
