Policy Update & Future Plans

I appreciate the proclaimed motives behind the policy change greatly, but the execution of the idea so far has been abysmal; poor communication, a lack of consistent communication with what staff does provide, and above all, inspiring some of the most creative, awesome people on the site, who also use this site in a healthy way and do not engage in anything that would be in actual violation of what this policy ultimately aims to curb, to forever leave this site.
FA spreading hopelessness about the livelihood of furry artwork is so ironic.
At least for authors, we can slap an authoritative disclaimer in our stories to explicitly state something akin to: “The Pokemon presented here is not one you are typically familiar with, but instead has adult proportions.” If it requires me to specifically document the length of the character’s limbs or other information to confirm proportions, I’ll gladly stamp it on the front and be done with it. Why? Because writing about Pokemon with the intent to infantilize or otherwise has never been the point, and if this eliminates any shreds of doubt about that, then I am happy to supply it.
I have already reached out to most folks who have commissioned me with stories that may be affected by this, and plan to add some additional language to stories to fit into the new policy.
However, the same disclaimer and adjustments can not be easily afforded to artists, which is the worst part about this. Many actual artists have touched on this with much more authority than I ever could, so I implore you to read any journal updates from your favorite creatives and take the time to read their sentiment. A lot of folks are rightfully concerned and have written thoughtful journals covering the issue, and seeing the outpouring of support against this scorched earth policy has been the most inspiring thing about all this.
For my future plans, I currently do not have any other place in mind to move to. If another website comes up with a similar audience for fiction as FA, I’ll happily try it. Till then, I’ll just be writing more.
Stay safe.

Lack of communication is a good statement. An explanation more of the sorts is what we insist. Thank you.

Most of your work should be safe, but Riolu (and all other "babys") are no longer allowed, at least if I read the announcement right.
