Future is uncertain.

Looks like PayPal closes its services in Russia because of this old sick fuck in Kremlin doing war crimes.
Everyone here in Russia including me were shocked and terrified of what he just started - literally nobody asked for this.
Now this happened.
It was my only source of income.
Currently I've got four commission tasks to do.
...Those will probably be the last.
If you have any info regarding international payment methods with RU support - it would be appreciated.
UPD: Everything is extremely unstable, but I'm researching and looking for various methods of payment

Is there any alternative?

But I appreciate the effort, thank you
Do your best, hang in there, we know you didn't ask for this, we can only hope that the turning point is coming soon.
it's a last resort for sure, but its better to have a last resort than nothing
1. Get a wallet. This is an address on the blockchain where your funds are stored, like a bank acct. But unlike a bank there's no entity overseeing these i.e. they can't be 'blocked' or shut down by sanctions. As long as you protect your seed phrase (see below) the funds in your wallet will be safe. But equally, if you're careless you are on your own - there's no 'customer support'.
>>Set up a wallet on pc with metamask (in-browser, use with chrome or firefox), on android i'd suggest trustwallet. These apps aren't the wallet itself, they are just the ui to access your wallet.
>>You'll get a 'secret seed/key' phrase. This is the password to recover your wallet and funds if anything happens to the phone, pc etc - you can ALWAYS access your funds as long as you have this phrase. You must keep it safe, someone can take this and steal your funds. Never store it digitally, write it on multiple pieces of paper and hide them.
2. Find an exchange. These are the businesses where you can swap fiat currency for the cryptocurrencies, basically how you move funds between your bank account and your wallet.
>>Don't store funds on the exchange itself as they can be sanctioned, same as the banks. Just use them as a stepping stone to quickly move funds between bank and wallet.
>>The international exchanges are more at risk of sanctions e.g. binance, kraken. I'd normally suggest those two but they might cave to eu/us pressure and block russian users from using them in which case you'll need to find another. They will be fine to use for the time being especially while you learn, just don't leave funds sitting on there.
>>Best thing to do will be to find a reputable russian-based exchange, since the us/eu can't stop them providing their service.
So in the worst case scenario, you can receive funds in your wallet but have no exchange to move those funds to your bank account. Not ideal, but it would be temporary and at least a way to keep receiving payments for work even if you cant spend it right away.
3. Get customers to pay. For the ones who are willing to give it a try the easiest idiot-proof way for them to send you funds would be:
>>Get trustwallet (phone app)
>>Buy Smart Chain BNB directly with a card
>>Send it to your wallet address (like a bank acct number you can give them)
>>You receive it instantly and can swap it to a stablecoin like USDC which is the same as having us dollars.
>>When you want to send to your bank account, send the USDC (or BUSD or USDT) from your wallet to an exchange and then withdraw from the exchange to your bank.
It won't mean much to you now but the reason I suggest Smart Chain BNB is because a: Binance Smart Chain has very low fees (<10 cents to send funds) and is easy to access compared to most, b: when you pay network fees to make transactions you need to pay those fees in specific cryptocurrencies (called 'gas'). On Smart Chain, the crypto used for gas is Smart Chain BNB. Sending funds with the gas token itself is the simplest way to make sure your customers are able to execute the transaction (if you try to send a different coin but dont have enough 'gas' then the transaction will fail).
Im assuming some of you russian artists stay in touch through private groups yea? it might be worth some of you learning to explore this stuff together. it's a space that is not user-friendly, full of jargon, and evolves very quickly so any tutorials/guides that appear can be quickly outdated. the safest thing to do would be to put a very small amount of money into it and just familiarise with how to move it around. this should also help a bit with some of the technical parts I describe above: https://www.bsc.news/post/bsc-tutor.....ce-smart-chain
Someone made a journal outlining some alternative payment methods for Russian illustrators in the community if that helps.
I'd seriously consider leaving the country if at all possible, otherwise good luck.

This is all I can offer right now.
I can offer you some free training on how to receive coins, how to trade, how to use wallets, etc. Or you can gather a bunch of friends, create a Telegram group and make a "crypto course".

It really is fucking devastating that the people who just wanna live their lives and not take part in imperialism have to suffer for Putin's sins. It's more devastating that soldiers have to die and even moreso that Ukrainian civilians have to die.
I can at least look upon the silver lining that at least most russians can see through the state-led media's blatant lies on the situation and see Putin for the incredibly dangerous man he is, even if they are currently powerless to cast off his yoke.

Also, Butterfly Dragon is constantly updating a list of alternatives, so keep an eye on their page.
Я в такой же жопе, как и многие. Тоже читаю журналы и ищу альтернативы Палке.
I thought that my fellow germans showed the world from 1939 to 1945 - with support from Japan on a similar level - that "Stronk Man Politiking" is bad for ones countries health and popualtion - global sympathy levels, too - but it seems every few generations somebody has to do a reality check if this still holds true.
Be safe, and well, I hope that your three shark ladies will be safe, too.
Or, maybe, perhaps the three sharkgirls will end up this time on earth and educate humanity....
That be nice.
And sexy.
