Peanut Butter (NewEnglander Commission)
Rachel learns the hard way that being small has its disadvantages.
A commissioned piece for NewEnglander of his squirrel character, Rachel.
This is a bit overdue. My old computer was almost an extension of my hand. Since I got my new computer I've been spending the last week trying to get my PaintTool Sai brushes to act the way that they were on my old computer. Even copying the settings didn't help. I think I finally got my settings to where I'm comfortable, but I lost over a week of worktime while trying to do so. >_<
Ah well. Back to work!

Squirrels tend to be crafty beasts. She gets the dog to knock it into the floor and to bat it around until the lid cracks and then chases the dog off with that knife and makes her sammich.
Also, she may want to watch where that knife is going so she doesn't get jelly in her tail fur. It's a pain to wash out.

One of my favorite themes in anthropomorphic animal art, comics and stories is where the critters are "Natural" sized, but adopt human cast off technology to overcome their size differences. Case in point, "The Secret of NIMH," or "The Rescuers." I'll bet this squirrel-girl finds a way out of the predicament soon. (The "Biff" label made me chuckle.)
