Piece for the FWA art show. I'm doing a couple of paintings based on the con theme but in my own context.

Loss is love's shadow. 'Still in Love' can be painful.

I feel like there is almost too much negative space in this piece. Like maybe it needs to be cropped more. That being said I love the wolf's emotion and the sunset- symbol of the end.

The imbalance in negative space was intentional. I wanted the gravestone to be this terrible void, consuming the bereft and the image.

Try NOT staring at it... don't even look at it for 7 days straight. THEN after the break period you look at it and all the pieces that need to be changed you will see.

Thank you. I.... I fought with this stupid bastard for so long ha ha. From the planning stage, where I re-compositioned a million times, to painting. But I think in the end I'm happy with what it is.

This is both eerie and very beautiful. The emotions it brings forth make this peice very one of a kind. I love the though behind this. The loss of a lover is portrayed excellently here. You did an awesome job on the peice!

Very wonderful take on the theme. You can really feel all the emotion, all the memories, both good and bad. You always bring such a high level of excellence to your work. You never do disappoint.
