Another night where I'm awake until really late. This is getting a bad habit. Still, when I saw there was a Thursday Prompt (unsurprising as it's Thursday), a story just jumped into my head. So I wrote it. And here it is.
I can't claim entirely that this is original, as I know full well it isn't, exactly. There's a children's book I read many, many years ago, and I know it fed completely into this story. But I stand by what I wrote and I'm not ashamed.
