It's because Blotch was mailing them to winners FROM Australia where he's visiting

when you buy a stamp you can by so many varieties of the same type

Maybe he bought a small pack of stamps instead of individuals? Last I heard Stamp booklets were still quite popular

so bayshore raj diego etc all used the same set of stamps?
wouldnt it make more sense if they each had thier own stamps?

Well, I suspect if Bayshore and Diego were writing postcards they would probably not put pictures of themselves on them either. >;]

Perhaps in the States you can, but in Australia, they release one type at a time. They are available for several weeks until they've completed that run, then they do another type. If you want different types of stamps, you have to buy a different value, but the standard air mail rate from Australia to most places is $1.95, so that's what they print a lot of. If Blotch had posted to New Zealand though, it would have been cheaper, and a different stamp.

i didnt really pay close attention admittedly but when i went to the post shop last i coulda sworn there was more than 1 type of international stamp

Heh, Amusing to see a definitely commonwealth style address (named buildings are rare and usually limited to extremely rural areas so sparsely inhabited to not have a postcode, such as public lands), or a "US" address with a post code that isn't 9-all-numeric digits. :o)

I can definitely say the actual address looked nothing like this, because I own the original to this and my address is in Madagascar
