The main difference between hyenas and jackals is that jackals are canines, whereas hyenas are more closely related to weasels and such. Hyenas tend to have shorter muzzles, more rounded ears, and more of their mass concentrated towards the front.
Nice pose, and i like her hands. The shading on her stomach is great, too.

This image was drawn from life, strangely enough. Years and years ago, before your parents met, there was a weekly ALL NUDE life drawing session here. I would ask the models if they didn't mind being drawn with animal ears and tails and stuff.. None of them minded a bit.
