This was inspired by the star-nosed mole, I just enhanced him a little.
They're big, probably multiple times the size of a person, and may be suitable as a mount. I also imagine they have more tentacles hidden under their fur - maybe even enough to fully cover the rider while they burrow, or keep them secured on their back while riding.
