Well, thanks for making this, i'm nowhere near the level of skill for the painting, but the sketchy parts give me some ideas! and for showing me the way to your deviantart page ~_^

As to the art, I think i really does have the smooth, interlocking plates that I am sure you were going for. For a second, I was like, "Why not make the stomach lighter?" but then I remember, durr, if it is made out of dragon scales, you don't want the stomach scales being the ones to protect you, ha. Though either way, I think a dragons stomach is still stronger than any human or anthro skin =p The red of the cloak/cape/mantle is really what I like, though. Just so flowy!

Got to love the way paint makes the texture flow into a more gradated color shift. Really wonderful work here.
