Not too many people are willing to take their fursuits into the water, much less submerge completely like you did.
Just give it a quick rinse in fresh water to rinse out the chlorine, squeeze the water out of the foam as best you can and let it dry completely in the sun between uses and the suit should be just fine.
So, how did you like going underwater with it? Were you able to swim about? Were you able to surface OK for air? How did it feel to you?

really had to dry thoroughly for not getting smelly! The material in itself not spoiled!
