The photo was taken at the Fowler Park carshow of October 2007 at Luke AFB, Arizona. Needless to say, that's quite an engine.
How potent is it, well, when you have a painted message on the back of the car that reads "Damn right its fast Stupid Ass", it's best to throw logic out the window and witness greatness for yourself.

Actually, I believe this is a 1929 Model A, although it can be hard to determine exactly since these old fords tend to be so heavily modified from their original bodies when hot-rodding.
I'm seeing a SBC likely bored .020 over (or more) for aftermarket pistons, Weiand twin-screw supercharger (likely a 671) paired with dual Edelbrock 650's fitted with velocity stacks, and topped with 4" high-flow filters. That aftermarket front end sure helps keep that thing pointed where you want it, although I'm not very fond of drum style brakes. The Micky T's out back definately help keep all the power planted though, and I wouldn't be surprised if it has a Turbo 400 trans to connect it all, as well as a 9" diff given the serious mouse up front. I'd estimate an engine like that around... 650 HP minimum.
I bet that thing is a hoot to open up on the straights.
