No one has really seen Zydrate's mother, as we all know who his father looks like. Here is a rare appearance of Zydrate and his mother Reverie.

Lady Reverie Sanctus was once the most powerful Succubus of all of the Hell plane. She was loved, respected and free-spirited young woman. She loved her children all equally. Until her bed mate Fear had slain her because she had bore two of his children.

Reverie is the mother of Valin (Eldest son/ first born. deceased; killed) Zydrate (second and youngest son, living) and Prizessin (Only daughter and youngest child; living but MIA).

Zydrate, as you can see was very close to his mother. You could say he was the 'favorite' out of the three of her children. When she was captured within a Demon crystal and cast off to an unknown plane which is unreachable to the one who had trapped her, the soul of his mother bound to Zydrate's which is the 'curse' that he has once a month of turning into a female.
