I finally found the time to finish the background and fix a couple of things that bothered me. =)
I tried some perspective there. It's not furry, but at least it's something new.

There's still a lot of work to do. I've worked on this some more, correcting this and that. I added a background too, but it still looks crappy.
I gotta update the file at some point. Right now I gotta go get some sleep, though... My plane is leaving tonight. I'm gonna pay a visit to a friend of mine who lives in England. =)

He's an incubus. He used to have a pair of leathery wings on his back, but they got torn off. Mwaha! It served him right.
Usually the contrast between his blue skin and fair hair is not that strong, but I started painting this on a dark background and I just went with what looked good at the time. =)

Haha, here's something I scanned for you, you made me think of it! ;o)

Well I think it's worth finishing... Pose and details are nice... if that's true it's unfinished work then I can pretend that the finished piece will look awesome... Hmm background background background... I have the same problem many times... well It's a warrior with a sword (ps: suggest you to use any picture of real sword as a reference because that thing between the handler and the blade (don't know how to call it in english) is too short comparing to the rest)... so again, it's a warrior so maybe there should be a battle scene in the background. I mean a line of infantry drawn not quite precisely, a cloudy gray sky and blizzards... maybe a dragon on the sky and its firebreath... of course again not very precisely... you can't spend too much time on the background... I don't have any better ideas...
Thanks for the feedback. =)
But say, there's no need to pretend just for my sake. I'm a bit disappointed to hear that you think I might be not be sincere about the state of this picture. I don't often post WIP pictures, but this time I made an exception. I'm going to England to visit my friend and my plane leaves tonight. When I come back I gotta finish colouring two commissions, so I'm afraid this guy has to wait. It's a shame, 'cause I already like the way he looks.
You can't see it here, obviously, but I started painting a gigantic moon and some dunes on the background. The character himself won't change much. I'm going to fix a couple of tufts of hair, shade the belt buckles so that they blend in more seamlessly, add some colour to give his pants more shape and put some gleamies to the sword. I would like to add some more detail to his hands, but I'm not exactly sure how to do that.

First about that "pretend"... well I used not a good word, I didn't mean to offend you any way. The second thing is not to worry... you're a great artist and it doesn't mean each of your works have to be PERFECT... do your best... that's the most important part :) and have a nice time in England.
Actually he's an incubus. He used to have a pair of wings, but he lost them in a fight. And you can't see it here, but he has a tail with a tip shaped like the ace of spades. Normally I also give him a light blue skin and hair that's more yellow blonde than white, but now he somehow ended up looking like a drow instead his usual self. =)
Thanks for the fave, btw! <3

I was thinking of scanning a couple of covers and combining them into one big image. I've done about 6 covers or so during the last five years. Oh, and one b/w cover for a magazine called The Alienist. The old covers are terrible, but they might be worth sharing as bits of the bigger picture.
