Gazelle is one of my spike fallow bucks. He got the name because right now he looks like an Alaskan Malamute.

I posted this because some wanted to see what he looked like.

Anything that's not bolted down becomes free game. You could think of them is forklifts with legs. They love to make noise with their antlers.

Hel's a Ke'lier baby. A very dark natural. They usually look more like a whitetail in coating.

I've only been that close to a deer once. Then my horse decided that it was time to run the other direction rather quickly.

This is a shame. Deer and horses are cousins and have no real reason to fear each other. I hope your horse was ok after the experience.

Ya. He was okay. It's not like we walked up to eachother calmly. My horse and I were going rather quicky down the road. We scared the deer first who was sleeping in the soy bean field next to the road. When the deer jumped up to run away, that was when my horse decided to run

I keep forgetting fallow deer retain their spots into adulthood. That is kinda nice to see :)

They just fade when they get older. Lexx my 14 year old buck is fading out like crazy. It's not that the spots are going away, but his base hair is. . .well doing the deer graying thing. Actually lighting up.

fallow deer are the only deers in the world that keep their spots even though adult age?

No, Sika do too, but they don't have the color range like the Fallows do. Here is something, all fallow deer have spots including the Chocolates. The only thing is that they are hard to see because they are the same color as the base fur.
