Not so much a mix, as a march through the main six themes (plus boss theme) of one of the finest "old school" video game soundtracks EVER!
Lifeforce for the NES.

Uploaded at 96 kps to save a bit on size, as it runs a little over 12 minutes. Enjoy!

I used my Yamaha CS-80 virtual synth for this one. Sequenced with SONAR.

That game was SO difficult, even with the Konami code. I seen the arcade version, they actually put stereo sound wavs praising you or directing you to kill the enemy. Pretty good track overall.

There were actually Japanese and US arcade version. I think the Japanese version was called Salamander and had somewhat different levels.

Yep, Salamander was the Japanese version. It was kinda weird the storyline too, like you actually are fighting inside a bioorganic system and have to go through its stomach up to its brain. A bit creepy.

I'd appreciate it more if I knew the songs, or even the game. I like the super-thick synth sounds though, very much so.

I don't think the songs have "names" per se, it's just the song associated with the level.
I love the sounds too. Made my own patches!
