Bromeliaceae Aechmea Blue Tango is a patented hybrid plant, held by Bullis Bromeliads, which is sterile and does not seed. Finding information is apparently a little difficult, either that or I don't know where to look.
It blooms late winter/early spring and late summer/early fall. It has smooth, leathery foliage, and Fuschia and light blue blooms. Bromeliads are typically found in Central and South America, but with this being a man-made hybrid, it is found in several parts of North America.
