I don't so much mind the gun as the creepy looking third panel with the empty eyes. Looks like a skeleton skull.
I'll admit I had a serious fear of skeletons/skulls when I was a kid so I'm sure that's influencing me, but just a thought. I still really like the sequence and Ben is ticked off at him for sneaking up on him and changing him unannounced.
