So, here's what I've been working on for the past couple months in between drawing and slacking off;
Had a dream with really cool designs in it, decided to make something as a sculpting and polypainting exercise, as well as get more updated stuff into my demo reel.
From what I could gather from the dream, it was some kind of ancient Babylonian shrine city that'd been sunken beneath the ground, and is guarded by large golem constructs, like knights and serpents, made of rock, porcelain, and bone.
Later, in some dystopian future some organization is trying to find it, to get some ancient powerful weapon hidden there.
It quickly became very animu.
Left to Right, Top to Bottom:
-Front UDK lit render [lowpoly with normals applied]
-Back UDK lit render [lowpoly with normals applied]
-I really like bloom okay
-Polypainted sculpt in zbrush, without texture edits
-The uncolored sculpts to show texture definition
Still have to do turntables and attempt to rig and animate, but otherwise I’m pretty much done with it. Really basic for a game model, but a good exercise for textures and polypainting, since before this I pretty much sucked.
Have to do a human character next, since it’s practically mandatory for character modeller demo-reels.
