What way are you doing the scars?

oh what way? :) like how I made them? I wanted to try some different things. some didn't end up working. so what I did in the end was trim the fur down where the cut was going to be and then lay in some hot glue for texture Then laid in black paint. and then another pinkish color over that but there's definitely not enough pink going on yet. Xb

Of course! It's so easy this way. and it works! sometimes I like to take a tool like the end of a screwdriver and press the hot glue as it's drying to make textures. Good for zombies Xb

and I use acrylic paint for everything :)

oh and question i saw that you said that you painted the eyes. does that mean that you see through the eyes then or the tear ducts?

oh no there's not really ever a way to see through any of the acrylic or resin eyes :b the tear ducts are what you see through :3

QUESTIOOOOOOOON! :D This is adorable and I love the scars on it o.o But, I noticed you work with acrylic blanks? So I've been trying to get into that loop because they look much better than resin (or else I think so) and I've tried to digitally print my eyes. Here's the issue though. I can't seem to press the digitally printed eyes down hard enough on the backs of the acrylic blanks... Last time I tried, an air bubble got caught despite all my effort to make sure there weren't any, and when I turn the eyes at a different angle other than straight forward, the iris + pupil disappears

I had to take a hammer and actually tap the eyes out of my resin blank very delicately x___x.. Might you know how to properly attach a digital backing to the backs of acrylic blanks so I won't get that vanishing effect again (Other than having to paint it? Which I suck at really bad .___. )?

oh you have to use a clear coat paint and really press the image on there and press the air bubbles out. :c I've only done the picture on method a couple times. It's kind of difficult v.v

Ohhh >.< Can I get the clear coat paint from like.. walmart/michael's/joann's? o.o Does it need to be a specific type?

I don't think it needs to be specific just not spray. :/ I'm settled with just hand painting all of the eyes I do myself lol Xb

also, I'm assuming you used white MM fox fur for the longer white parts (maybe? if not what fur haha xD) what fur did you use for the shorter parts?

oh! that's Winter fox fur from Fabricempire! and the maroon and black are luxury shag from fabric.com! ;) It was so hard to find maroon fur there for a little while! lol

This is beautiful! I love how smoothly your jaws move, and that satisfying little snap they make when you close them! You also translated the more human-like eye style onto this head really well- I agree, they definitely look kind.

I will be desperately waiting to throw money at you for a head once you're open again and your coyote blank's done. :D

It's from fabric.com :) It's a deeper red, I had been looking around for it for a long time and they finally had it again Xb just around black friday too!
