Now my character Frostbite. She represents a mother-type figure in my life. She is a guardian, protector, she is that part of the Mother that is primal, she's feral, she is a paranoid schizophrenic that is prone to psychotic episodes with fugue type states. She doesn't remember them. But they have lessoned over the years as she has learned more of how to control them utilizing magic.
Being a white dragon from Krynn, also based on Dragonlance, she has the power of winter weather, she had her wings cut off when she was a child during a war on her continent. She has a mate named Kraven who belongs to
's Antique. They have two children together, Starlite and Sabrie - each of which's names she has scarred on her arms, and Kraven's name carved on her chest. She has suspension hooks between her spikes and utilizes them at times to simulate flight, she used to not be able to stand it - but she has adapted.
She's a beast, pure and simple. She loves her family and will protect it to the death. She's that loyal part of me that will do anything for the people I love.

So do I... I remember when we just drew for each other, had the time to, we didn't have to worry so much about commissions and money and worldly issues. It makes me happy to know my art takes you back, it means a lot to me, and to know it can invoke that kind of a feeling in you. I fee the same when I look at your work. I miss the old days, too bad we're all grown up old farts now (but not at heart!)
I really like the shape of her ears in this one, and her raggedy mane is lovely of course. you make me want to draw more back views, I love back views. ;-;
oh yeah! on this sheet it says she's 5'10", but I think I remember us talking and and you saying she was shorter (5'3"ish?)... not a huge difference compared to kraven lol but I do want to try and make sure I get the size difference right when I draw them together.

Well, I sized her up a bit for that particular reason, because you said Kraven was so big, I thought maybe I should make her a little bigger... but if you think having the small small size still is a good idea I ALL for it! I am happy to change her back to being a shrimpy, because I've always envisioned her as very small - I was just wondering which context I should go by.
Whatever you think works best, like I said, I trust my characters in your hands and this is really one I more tailored to you. So let me know! <3

crap I thought I replied to this comment last night too, but I apparently didn't :c I think the smaller size would be fine for her, kraven is quite large but he also stands hunched over and has much better control over his movements when he is on all fours, so I'm trying to take that into consideration with their size difference as well. maybe I'll do a little line up type sketch to see what sizes would be good for them? I'm not committed to kraven's exact height either so it would probably be good to figure out how tall he is on all fours and upright. I'll try to whip something up to show you soon, I will need to know their sizes in comparison to each other anyway since I'm workin' on a little something~

Nnnnnghhhh you are??? Oh yoooouuu! *melts* I hope you kicked the ass out of that English paper (which I'm sure you did). I like the idea of the smaller height. It's funny because we both had the same train of though - Frost will hunch over a lot too onto all fours, but, she's usually hunched over standing on two feet, I feel she would better hold the kids that way and stuff, yknow? I gotta put little stuffs in her mane that the kids would put there too, like you said about Kraven.... so yeah. I like the idea of the smaller height! NNNGffttt must draw them need Kraven refs!!
