Thanks! I actually had to look up some images to get the shape right since I don't really draw dogs too often, so I'm glad that paid off.

Reffing animal faces usually does :> I do it for almost all critters I draw at this point just 'cause the practice and checking if I remember correctly pays off :)

Aww, thanks :) Yeah I don't know, I had a third character in here originally, but the whole composition/overall feel of it was just not what I wanted to do. I came up with a better idea while working on this but already put enough work into Devon and SW that I figured I might as well at least finish up that part of it.

NNNGH WHAT are you talking about this is not GOOD ENOUGH? Do you understand this is better than anything I could ever draw. Seriously. I've been working on doodles for you but they are nothing compared to this. I just. I cannot get over it. I don't care that it's just two characters! What do you mean, "just two" it's awesome that you even drew 2 of them together! Especially Devon and SW, cause they do hang out a lot and this is very suiting for them. Just sittin around being girls, lol. I am incredibly impressed at the facial structures - I read one of your replies and it is obvious you used a reference. Or just that you're that good. ;) I can tell both of their species from the thumbnail, and not just because I know the characters. You did a better job of making Devon look like a Dobie than me! I just LOVE how you did both of them, seriously. Devon's outfit is beyond adorable, he has the little ribbon around his neck, the way his hair is flowing down his shoulders, the cute little heart-broken purple shirt and the sleeves are such a fun touch, and the pink skirt with the belt. SO MUCH DETAIL. And SW! She is wearing something I would totally wear nowadays. I just wish I had black pants that were that awesome with purple outlining! The shirt is exactly like one I own, and omg, you even included the little necklace that Adam gave me with the drum key! My heart just melted. I don't know what you mean something better than this because I think this is beyond amazing. Thank you so much Beth, you are incredible!!

ps: Devon's eyes and eyemakup and eyelashes OMG. And SW's glasses and her little nose dots and their feets!! Ok sorry I can't stop staring at this.

Oh my god, Devon's makeup happened because I've been watching so much RuPaul's Drag Race and all of the men on that show look SO amazing as women, it's ridiculous. I just want to put super fancy eye makeup on everything forever. And I actually totally forgot SW's glasses for like 90% of this drawing. I kept wondering why her face didn't look right to me for ages until I realized, haha.

It had to be ~perfect~ and it wasn't to me because I'm so picky about my art. Anima was in it, but I think he made it too difficult by being giant and angry so I never finished drawing him >:( But I'm not done with him, he's gonna be in SOMETHING. I was listening to Depeche Mode and Enjoy the Silence came on and made me want to do a drawing of just Anima and Devon so that's happening instead of whatever this was going to be. But I'm so glad you like it anyway! Devon is super fun to draw because he's just pink and purple time all day every day in my head, haha. SO MUCH PURPLE. And I'm excited to see what you end up drawing for me no matter what it is or even if you don't think it's awesome 'cause you know I will!

And I know it was Antique who pointed this out but the fact that you even included his little half broken heart necklace that Hush has the other half too is just... it's so precious and shows how much damn attention you pay to detail! I just hope my half is going to do this justice <3

aw fuck this is so awesome! I love love love how you've drawn devon, his face especially is just perfect. I'm always afraid to make his muzzle/upper lip area too doberman shaped, in fear that it might make him look too "hard" and not sweet enough, but you've done it excellently - really makes me want to try to do a slightly more true to breed rendition of him as well. his eyes (those lashes!) and eye shadow are fabulous, and I love how you've done his hair. the little ribbon on his neck, and the heart necklace that he and hush each have a half of, the broken heart shirt, oh hell his whole outfit is awesome. and I really like the shape of silverwing's ears and all her sheltie fluff too.

I totally missed the little heart necklace at first because I was too busy being all OMFG blah blah blah blah *long Jolyn comment squeal* etc. You notice EVERYTHING! I love that she included it because anything featuring Hush + Devon = *Jolyn melty puddle of goo happy*

Thanks! :D Yeah to be honest I didn't want to make him TOO realistically doberman-shaped because of the exact reason you said. They're such neat looking dogs, but that really stocky look so doesn't scream "lady boy" to me, hahaha.

I know! That's part of why I chose a doberman for Devon's character. Because it is something you wouldn't expect - but he'd look just like a doberman would, and you captured that so perfectly here while keeping him so elegant! The lithe body and skinny little legs are the only "lady boy" thing to me really about dobies, and even that is pushing it!
