Ah! I get to answer this one! No, you were right the first time, it was indeed inspired by The Fly! I was watching the movie and thought "Telepods... bet I could make those..." So I did... and when I replicate something I've seen I tend to go all out so... ay! Two men enter, one man leaves! Or some fraction thereof... ... I suppose mathematically it'd be if 'Men Entering' > 1 then 2 > 'Men Leaving' > 1 or something like that...
