Ooh that turned out really cool! I really like your digital art. The perspective on the face, and all the little dips in the frame and stuff. Just really pretty character with the details you put in it.

Thanks! The digital stuff allows me to play and experiment a little more without worrying about "ruining" anything. I know you've just started in the digital realm and I encourage you to experiment as much as possible.

I'm trying to work some more on composition, even in simple things like this, and the negative space intruiged me as well as the deviation from the "typical" icon portrait.

I've been tryyying to experiment with it, but I've got like, 21 commissions right now and hardly any are digital. ;___; I feel like experimenting is slacking right now haha.

Yeah, unfortunately you can't experiment as much with commissions unless you have some that are very forgiving and recognize artistic whim *grin.* Get in what time you can without feeling too guilty *grin.*

Composition is really something that can make or break a piece, especially if it is a minimal/simplistic one. Look up information on things like "The Rule of Thirds" avoiding things like "tangents" and lovely triangle. Fortunately composition is something you can experiment with as you do thumbnails for your commissions and the like, even if they're just character poses and badges.
