Still no official title for the series as a whole, but here's at the very least a new edit of Chapter 1! I've been submitting this to deviantART pretty steadily since I began writing it, but never here. I figured my mind as well... I just went back on the document I submitted a few months ago and fixing up some minor errors and whatnot. It could still probably do with another once-over, but I managed to pick out a few little things and solidify the chapter as a whole this time around.

It feels good to finally have a chapter that I'm comfortable with. I didn't say much when I originally submitted this, but I really do like where this is going. I'm trying to set this up to build up the beginning and make it more engaging, as a first chapter is supposed to be. I didn't feel like any of my previous attempts were good enough on that count... I had a lot of help with this chapter, as I wrote it while taking a writing class with one of my favorite teachers. I feel like the class helped a lot with my writing.

Anyways, enough rambling. Here's chapter one, and there's a chapter two coming up after I make a few minor edits to it.
