10 x 14 color pencil (shot with camera but colors are close)
Should have it done down to his waste tonight and finished Tuesday. He will get more shading and reflected light once I get the BG in.
My first bovid/cervine. Pretty happy with him so far.
Been writing a short story to post with him that I thunk up whilst starting coloring. :)
May have them done at the same time.
Will put in scraps later.

I don't think I could ever write up anything about what I do because I really can't put into words what I do, I just do it. It's kinda hard to explain, but I guess it's sort of like this. My son is 18, his eyes are gray-blue and hair brown, other than that, even though I've seen him almost every day of his life, I cant tell you what he looks like. Only a couple of the most basic features. Same with my parents or friends. I can't really see them in my head, but I know them all when I see them. It's just like they fit a 3D template in my head.
I know it sounds weird but that's what it is really like for me. And besides, I'm still learning and almost every drawing has some new technique. At cons though I have managed to SHOW how to do a specific technique but still can't explain it verbally.
Have you ever seen Dragarta's work? I just discovered her through an ACEO group I just joined. She does color pencils like you wouldn't believe and just this evening I asked her about something she uses in her work. SHE KNOWS what she's doing!

Yeah, I know how that can be! With my photomanipulations, I can't really put things into words or steps save in the most basic sense because I'm always adapting and improvising. However, what I DID do one was do an entire photomanipulation while Livestream was recording me and people were watching and asking questions. That way I could explain what exactly I was doing in a more natural way. :)
And nope, I haven't heard of her! Checking her out now :)
