Coloured the sketch in, I lost track of the time put into making this...40 min is the sketch time not the colouring.

It's given me a mixed result, I've never tried shadow and lighting techniques and to be fair despite the flaws in this piece its been a good learning experience.

I will put my hands up and say I became lost and did not use proper reference material to ensure shadows and background were given justice....next time i will have to choose a better colour for the top, maybe a earthy brown/red/green.


Favourite part of this art, the candle and hand, using a photo reference really showed how good art can look when you have a good source of reference to use.

Rather than spoil the art, I will move on and draw it again if I really want to do things differently
