holly how do you do the tail floof, do you steelbrush the yarn or use raw fiber

I basically crocheted a little strip in rounds, about two and a half inches long. Then I attach strands of yarn, starting with the white for the tip, then the rest in the body colour. Then I untwined each strand, separated them out, then took a wire-bristle brush and brushed it out fluffy :)

They're pretty easy to do, it's just that they're so time-consuming O.o It takes about an hour from start to finish for a tail. And for my gryphons, it takes over an hour just to make the manes O.o;

Texas Furry Fiesta. A very .. middle of the country convention. ^^ About a thousand or more attendees and growing, if you ever get a chance to swing that way in February. It's a bit of a foodie convention too, because Addison has tons of great restaurants in short driving distance from the convention hotel, so bring your stretchy pants.

Ah coolies =D Sounds interesting, especially for the food selection ;) I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to make it, I usually tend to stick to local cons in New England and a couple in Canada...I've yet to go to a con that involves flying to the location, cuz I just can't afford it right now >.< But, who knows what the future will bring, eh? :)

Indeed. At the very least, we shall forge on with a positive attitude that one day you will be able to afford to get packed onto a flaying air tight sardine can with fifty sick children to land in an alien place without your luggage and anything to sell living off the kindness of awkward fursuited strangers and.. and.. Hmm.. Well, I am sure things will work out! ^^ Perhaps I will have time off from work some day and procure some of your fine collectible bits of swag from your table in the future at least.

For now, I'm just making a bunch of colours (I've already made a green one and working on a purple one; planning on making a white, black, and maybe a yellow or orange one soon). Since FE is coming up soon, I just wanted to test the waters with these little guys, and if they do well at FE, I'll see about making a bunch more for the other cons this year :)
