In the middle of reading Preston Blair's Advanced Animation(1947) book & decided to take most of the traits on the "goofy characters" page and apply it to a non-hillbilly, because that page only has hillbillies or similar, but I think there are plenty of other types that can be applied, like goths. It's the suggestion of "hair hangs over eyes" that brought "goth" to mind.
