And now for the colored edition! I'm tinkering around in photoshop, trying to figure out how to make magic flames. This is after... I dunno, two-three hours of work, and I don't know if it's quite what I'm looking for. If you all have any advice, I'd LOVE to hear it.

Hey, спасибо! Glad it came out ok. The flames were a bit tricky, but not too hard. I just took a stock image of fire, pasted it onto the picture and oriented it the way I wanted, inverted the colors, adjusted the hue, erased some of the background of the fire picture, tidied up the edges with low-flow eraser and smudge tool, and finally used warp under the transform selection to change the direction of the flames. Took a while, and I don't much like it the way it is, but it's better than nothing.
