This is so SO good, I LOVE this interpretation. Atmospheric yet focal, the setting is inspired. Nice palette and use of reference, strong execution.
The sword is perfect, love the armor and accessories, and his hair is so damn pretty too! Hah I knew you'd do it amazingly.

I'm so glad you like it!! I was sort of on the fence about it until I added in the background, I think it helped push the idea in the direction I wanted. He was a lot of fun to work with. And any excuse to draw a samurai type dude is like just the best ever. I think Venom would get along with him, to an extent. PERHAPS. uuhhhh do you RP ever? -nerd-

That background totally made me feel bad because I didn't do one for you I had painted this psychedelic green medical cabnet in a whacky perspective behind him early on, but I just thought it didn't fit and was distracting. I dunno, i'm slow, I revised him like 3 times, different poses, different hair, red eyes, expression.. I just spend so much time making up for my complete lack of process.

Anyway, this background looks awesome, moody with those soft edges and the low temperature complimentary palette.. totally fits.

DON'T FEEL BAD! OMG NO. I love what you drew for meeeeeeeee -complains- Some times, especially with the waste up shots backgrounds only distract. And besides, Venom is from the underworld of the planet, it's dark and creepy and there isn't much light to show off any substantial backgrounds. So there.

And as far as RP goes, I like to set up a note system or even email because that way everyone has time to think up a nice reply. Some times people just don't know what they are getting themselves into when they agree to play with me. I tend to be long winded and descriptive. I dun wana bother you with it if it's not something you like CRAVE, because for me it's like crack and recently I haven't had enough. lol

Omg this is crazy!! So much different from what ive seen you do before! Equally as beautiful! What you did with the hackground in the sky...the detail...you got excellent shape/movement in that pose! The first thing that really struck me though was the lighting and highlights...simply a m a z i n g as always!!
