This has a really lifelike feel to it, as if the characters are in 3D. I think it might be the lighting. Nicely done.

Yeah, I think that you as the artist may have been looking at this so long you don't see it, but maybe once you go away and come back and look at it again you'll see the characters really "pop". :) It's a neat effect.
