It was actually not my idea, but Toaster Repairpony',s to mix the Dragonborn Helmet design with that of the T-series Power Armor headgear. And I loved it, because it made it actually fit into the world, and effectively crossed-over that franchise with Fallout. And ponies. Win.

See the post below for the "story" reason for why Littlepip would have such a thing. Considering the oddness and Easter Eggs hidden in Bethesda games (not to mention fan-made mods), it isn't too much of a stretch..
