Ladies and Gentlemen, may I introduce to you the Light of the Eastern Sun, Supreme Monarch of the Serapian Realm, Lord of the Sky and Earth, Eternal Master Of All He Surveys, Devourer of Mortals... the Emperor of All. King Goldeneye the Majestic, the Resplendent, the Eternal, the Voracious.

I do have several dozen more titles, but shall we keep this informal? This is myself, the maniacal gryphon-shaped Shard Goldeneye, wearing his wreath of office (those bronze-coloured feathers are actually bronze) Also on his divine person is the ring of the once omnipotent god Joshua the Eternal, who is currently being forced to serve myself as a Royal Physician - even deities are not beyond my hungry glance.

This exquisite picture was created by the brilliant and wonderful pen of  Neltruin , with my adorable snuggle-slave  Aeznon adding a bit to get some extra sketches and colour them all. I love it. I really do.

So, here also is a few notes about the monster who you see before you. I intend to do a full background story quite soon, but for now... hello there.

Goldeneye:

Average body temperature: 39 degrees Celsius

Abilities:

- Extremely skilled Voidseer, giving him incredibly potent telepathic powers - and the ability to manipulate solid matter to a certain degree. This includes his own body, allowing the gryphon to stretch and morph his skeletal system and consume meals up to his own size.

- Near-total physical and mental control: Goldeneye can affect or stop entirely almost any of his bodily systems, including digestion, breathing and even heartbeat.

- Speed and strength: Goldeneye’s unique heritage makes him much, much more powerful than even a normal gryphon of his already massive size, easily capable of tearing solid steel apart or moving faster than the eye can follow.

-Endurance: as well as exceptional mental control which allows him to essentially ignore all but the most agonising pain, Goldeneye is “biologically inert” – he does not require nutrition, a blood supply, or even oxygen in order to live. This is coupled with near instantaneous regeneration abilities to make him nearly immortal.

-Universe hopping - Goldeneye originally evolved in the space between universes - the Void - and so can move between them with relative ease. He has "adopted" a few worlds as his own, using them and their denizens for his own enjoyment - one such example is of course the Serapian Empire, of which the gryphon is Emperor, Master and Deity.

PERSONALITY:

Goldeneye's mind could be likened to a shattered mirror - and the splinters of glass forming it are all from different mirrors. His mind is a composite, formed out of the broken splinters of minds which have shattered under force of emotion - most prominently, those beings who have suffered through the agonising transformation into Voidtouched. The gryphon's mind therefore is very unstable - not just insane but prone to wild swings in attitude, desires, and intentions.

A few things are so ingrained in Goldeneye's "personality" that they are permanent, however. He is an utterly ruthless sociopath, with zero empathy for anyone in existence. Goldeneye views everyone as nothing more than toys to be used for his pleasure. This can mean virtually anything for the chosen toy - Goldeneye is exceptionally dominating, taking pleasure in being able to control his prey's every emotion, and so may attempt to make one individual as happy and content as can be imagined, and then torment another until they beg him for death.

Goldeneye's telepathy gives him a point-blank perfect understanding of every creature he meets, allowing him to play their emotions like a musical instrument. Despair, terror, delight, hope... all are delicious to the gryphon.

In short, should you meet Goldeneye on a dark night... run awat as fast as you can. It may amuse him, and that may mean you'll die a little bit sooner.
