Well from what I hear, Mr. Leo Fender had a hand in making those awesome axe's!

Yeah, after the sale of Fender to CBS in the 60's he had a none competition contract for 10 years. He Shacked up Forrest White for the basic design of this style of bass in 1976. he then went on to Sell that company "Music Man" and again started another Company named "G&L". My bass was actually tested by Leo himself. It's a G&L ASAT bass.

So thats the full story! Wow that must be one beefy piece of work! You're a very lucky to have a relic like that!

Before the proliferation of the internet in the music industry, you could actually buy things for what they where worth.

You what they say. "Ain't no business like show business" Theres so much about the music industry I'm learning on the daily. All the lumps seem to be worth it when I can walk away and still enjoy playing at the end of the day.

Having more than one friend get signed to a major music label, I can tell you.. They will chew you up, and spit you out.

No I didn't. Wasn't exactly born yet lol. But why thats really deep. I figured music was dying once people stopped playing and started letting computers do all the work. (excluding all music created on a computer of course)

I collect synthesizers., One of the main things I remind people is that you play a synth, you never let a snyth play you.

I try not to be all gloom and doom. But being around for 30 years, and playing music for 17 years of that, you tend to get somewhat bitter after a while.

Keep playing, and have a good time.

Oh I know I'm dancing with a really a flame while covered in gasoline and I think thats what makes this job that much more fun to me. Well that and all the fun places I've gotten to play as of now. And its not being all gloom and doom. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't have continued this far into the conversation if you didn't have faith in my lil adventure. And I thank you for all the knowledge you've shared. Maybe I should have made an FA months ago when it got brought up ^__^;;

Yes it is! Has alittle Input problem but once that is squared away everything is good!

Yes and no TT__TT. Its a OLP Stingray made like an Erine Ball Stingray just not as fancy or expensive. But hey, she gets the job done right!
