The expression you gave him is really great I appreciate all of your works, it can explain a thousand words just by one image. Which gave me that impression of him. Maybe he's just reflecting on the past, who knows what the true intentions are in this picture, but you can truly feel sympathetic for him for some reason. Keep up the great work! I'd love to have a commission from you one day :P
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it :) It's really encouraging when people feel like the character in the picture is somehow real, either because he looks real, or "feels real", or both. As for commissions, feel free to ask me about options some time! I should be open pretty much indefinitely.
Wow, thank you so much, that's very encouraging :) I was afraid that the fur texture and vibrant orange/red would somehow detract from the sort of soft blurriness of the rest of the image, but while in the original photo, his face was actually fairly obscured by glare, so I wanted to make sure it stood out at least a little bit... Anyway, thank you :) I was concerned about the wood, but it turned out pretty good I think! It's actually maybe my favourite part of the image :b
Hey, thanks a lot! And haha, sadly, I'm not THAT hardcore. Yes, for this image, I was working directly from a photo - the client wanted me to take a photo of him in real life, and repaint it, replacing his real life self with his fursona, same pose/bg/clothing and everything. So I basically got to copy the whole thing, just replaced him with a fox!
Yeah, that's totally fair :) Heh, it's worse if you're looking at things typically more expensive than art - there are a number of sculptures or costume work or other textile and artisan crafts I'd be interested in making/having, but presently don't have the skill/knowledge to do, and unfortunately, most of these things cost a good deal more than $100-200 to commission! x_x
