I want to order a pizza with video games on it. Another person wants a furry pizza. The last one wants pony pizza. All three pizzas are welcome to the party. But the person who wants pony pizza also want pony topping on the video game pizza, and on the furry pizza, and absolutely insists on it. Though the pony pizza lover can enjoy one of each slice, they obsessively shove their need to have pony topping on every pizza, and claim that us not wanting pony topping on our pizzas is disrespectful to them.

Furries tend to stick to furry websites for the most part, though. At least nowadays. The Internet got bored of furries once we finally toughened up.

I could really care less about this entire topic, but I'm fairly certain that throwing petty rocks at dissenting voices is just about the lowest form of discourse. This sort of display makes your position look weaker, not stronger.

I seem to have got it up to the point that you decided the optimum response to petty or childish backlash to a present craze is to be equally petty and childish. Why should I be rooting for you side, exactly?

The fact that you have to caveat your submission well past its initial release is telling of a fair amount of backpeddling, the reason of which quite obvious because the image is vague enough that it will almost universally be interpreted as you calling everyone who shares any dissent towards MLP as a crybaby.

There's nothing to illuminate by challenging those with shallow discontent for something like this; it's just going to happen--some people might have reasonable criticism to throw, but you're always going to have people who don't like your thing because that's just who they are.

The fact that you're so insecure in your hobbies that you must revert to such a childish act is wholly petulant of you, and it makes you no better then the supposed lot you're trying to condemn.

Is this how you handle any sort of social contention, by behaving in a wildly melodramatic fashion rather than actually challenging those who might criticize you? Are you so insecure that you would reject any intellectual growth purely on the premise that you current way of thinking might be flawed?

I'm not here to "win" an argument, the concept is utterly juvenile. I'm here because I respect you enough as an artist that you are worth the time challenging your point of view on this matter; this sort of behaviour makes us all look bad. Hold yourself up to a higher standard than this, have some dignity instead of tossing it away in a desperate attempt to not look foolish in the eyes of digital shadows.
