Finally finished! This is my picture for the 2012 anthro-fantasy-club winter art exchange [link]. I got to paint theowlette's AWESOME barn owl character, River. Man, I love painting owls so, so very much. <3

TheOwlette had a bunch of different ideas for the background. One of the things she suggested was a cozy room. I'm still trying to practice interior scenes, so I knew that was the best idea for this picture. It also gave me a chance to play around with warm afternoon colors - what's not to love?

Anyway, I'm sorry I went over time by a few days. I tried to get it in on time, I really did, but it simply wasn't finished a few days ago. Oh well. At least I got it done during the 7-day leniency period.
