General report:

Skaine is the most intelligent, adaptable (and dangerous) anthroform we've ever studied. He has extremely human-like features, including a large brain, opposable thumbs, and a mouth and larynx suitable for vocal communication. He has actually been educated, in a way, he is literate, well-read, and has a good grasp of logic (though he is inept in maths).

After he had been with us a couple of weeks we saw that he, like the other males of his kind, also experiences the Furor. There were female anthroforms on hand, but we supplied him with a female dog, not wanting to put the anthroforms at risk. It would seem that despite level of intelligence, all anthroform males revert to the same primal, unthinking, unfeeling state that accompanies the Furor. He has experienced it while he's been with us, but the dog has yet to become impregnated.

The few conversations he and I have had have revealed to me that he has been living alone with his mother since he was a newborn, that he has had no previous contact with humans, and learned everything he knows about the world from books that his mother was able to steal from a local city. He says he is about 10 years old, and looks as if he's reached sexual maturity.

Note: His escape attempts are numerous and frequent. I fear I only have a short while left to study him until he manages to get away. Take note; he is intelligent, cunning, and dangerous, and should be handled with extreme care.
