Where the wrinkles appeared. Most use actual fur, not just pieces of fabric.

OH! no, the head is completely covered in fur. not fabric. except for the inner ears.

That doesn't look like fur, it looks like felt.

Also, if it's just one big piece like that, it's going to wrinkle.

i know it looks like felt. amazon screwed up and sent me short pile instead of long pile, but i didn't want to bother with sending it back and getting new. i thought it'd be fine.

yeah. i learned when i need a fursuit made, i'm just gonna commission it. @__@ i simply don't have the ability to do this.

No one does at first! Don't give up! It takes lots of practice and time to get good at anything!

Most suits I've seen have thicker fur that helps hide the seams....But as for the wrinkles, I'm not sure, as I've never made or attempted one myself. Best of luck to you!

thanks. i sure am gonna need it. x.x and i did order thicker fur, but amazon screwed up and sent me the wrong thing. i made do with the thinner pile of fur instead of going through all the process of sending it back.

You can also probably hide the seams with a stitch on the underside of the fur.

i ordered longer pile fur from amazon, but they sent me this weird short pile stuff. instead of going through the process of sending it back and going through all that, i just made do with what i had.

You can't hide seams on short pile at all, also I have no idea how you got wrinkles in it

Usually people use long pile fur, then shave down parts where it is short....I wouldn't wear this to an outing without replacing the fur ;__; no offense... Alkso looks like the buckram is too thick.

what's buckram? o~o also i'm just about ready to give up...i've already hot glued the fur down and everything. i don't think it can be fixed.

You can pull up hot glued fur. And Buckram is a material that most people tend to go for with Toony eyes. You can see through it, but it has a lot less noticeable holes. It'll look 100x better with actual long pile-fur though instead of the material you used here. see, this is my first time doing anything like this, and there aren't any furries around here for miles. i had nobody to go to for advice until now. i think that's most of what went wrong.

I know how it is, I did the same thing. It takes a loooot of research to make nice fursuits. My first few were complete failsuits because I wasjust so excited to hurry up and make them. Sucks that it costs so much to make.....:(

I'd recommend replacing that "fur" with, well, something more like fur. What color do you need? Check out your local hobby lobby, and if you have a smartphone, go to their mobile site and use their 40% off coupon.

i don't think there's even a hobby lobby around here... o-o i kinda live in the middle of nowhere. XD also, i've already put so much money into this fursuit, i don't know if i want to invest even more.

Well, if you're going to Animarathon, there's a lot of Hobby Lobby's in the NW Ohio area. I go to the one in Bowling Green several times a week.

I do recommend however, instead of using one big piece of fabric, cover the head in thick masking tape. Then draw out a pattern and cut the tape off with a razor or knife, and draw the pieces upside down (this is important) onto your fur, adding an extra half inch around the edges for your seams. Then cut out the pieces and sew them together, then turn it right side out. The seams should be hidden, and the whole piece should fit nice and snug onto the head.

There's several suit makers in the NW Ohio area I can refer you to if you want further tips. That's just what I know from watching tutorials...I bought both of my suits.

i've heard of that before, using the duct tape method, but wouldn't it tear apart the foam? i dunno, sounds kinda hard to me. also, i'm in northeast ohio, but i'm only going to animarathon so i can attend with my boyfriend. x3 i don't think there's any hobby lobby's here.

People usually put plastic wrap or bags on the head before taping it. But if you use masking or painter's tape, it should come up a-ok.
