Midori is an emerald ash borer (Agrilus planipennis) woodcutter who supplies much of the wood for the homes and businesses in the village. He keeps Sanzu's kilns stocked dutifully, but is a little intimidated by him. After the attack on the village he became especially wary, though he has yet to warm to Satoshi.
