When threatened, the Armadillo Lizard will roll itself into a ball and bite it's own tail. Theory goes this action is designed to incapacitate their potential predators with overwhelming levels of cuteness, dazing them and allowing the lizard to escape.

That's a pretty big question, honestly. I might be able to give you a few tips, if you like. But first we need to know if you're serious!
If you want watercolours to work, you're going to have to be prepared to shell out a bit of cash. They're not the cheapest medium to work in. They're not terrible either, but you get what you pay for. The absolutely most important part of it in my opinion, is the paper. You can skirt by with a few cheap brushes and some cheap paint, but if the paper is awful you just can't do anything with it.
You'll also need some tools to help you keep the page flat while you paint, and a few other things. If you know for certain that you want to get into watercolours, I'll happily tell you everything I know! But first we'd have to get you started, and there's a bit of a cost to that. If you're certain you're interested, I can start by letting you know what sort of materials you'll be needing to get under way.

From what I understand, they actually curl up like this because it exposes all the spikes on their body and makes them basically sharp and pointy all over. This makes it hard for predators to get a hold of them without harming themselves.
Mostly, though, I just think it's cute!

Fun story, the popular idea of a "barrel roll" is actually an "Aileron Roll".
...sorry. Learned that recently and have been wanting to share it with somebody. You're the unlucky victim!

Hah, why thank yas! It's a little surprising how unknown they seem to be considering how easily I stumbled across them. I guess a fair amount of the fandom isn't really into lizards all that much, though. I sure am, I think they're awesome, so I couldn't resist!
