I just *love* this sketch I did of Priss, and I thought inquiring minds might be interested in how I actually finish something I like. So I'm going to post a step by step about how I do my artwork.
Generally speaking I'm a traditional artist in that I prefer to work with pencil and paper. In this case a 0.7 mechanical pencil on regular Xerox paper. This is a slightly better than my average peice of sketchwork, but its still a sketch at this point.
After I scan it into the computer I usually take it into photoshop or, in this case MangaStudio EX to do the digital inking.

Keep in mind I have the EX version, which is the full 300$ version. Its definately got its strengths, but its also got weaknesses. In terms of strengths, its got great lineart capability and is the only program that I have that deals well with tones. on the downside the interface needs work, and its lacking or has weird selecting tools, which makes somethings a pain in the ass.
