Mmmm.....munch on marvelous mushrooms from the kitchens of
16weeks
These are delicious, i make them a lot and they're a huge hit with my friends. this recipe was taught to me by a friend who makes them when she goes hunting.
RECIPE TIME!!!
1/2 Lb. of Jimmy deans sage mix sausage ( in the cylindrical plastic packaging that looks like a big fat sausage)
1/2 lb. of lean ground beef, (same packaging as above.)
one 16 ounce package of whole, unsliced monterey mushrooms. (the smaller ones, so you have more mushrooms.)
2 jalapeno chilies ( mince these)
1 cup of shredded cheese of your choice,
One 8 ounce tub of Onion and chive cream cheese.
I large mixing bowl.
one or two glass baking dishes.
Directions (of pure delicious)
First off. put your meat in a pan and cook it thourougly untill it's cooked through and crumbled.
next, drain your grease out of it, make sure to drain it into a disposable container and not down the drain.
put the meat in a large mixing bowl, we'll let it cool a bit, shall we?
next stem your mushrooms, keep the stems. place the mushrooms in the glass baking dish so that the holes where the stems where are facing up.
take the stems and your jalapenos, mince them finely and place them in the mixing bowl.
take your tub of cream cheese and scoop it into the mixing bowl as well. now comes the fun (and MESSY ) part.
MAKE SURE TO WASH YOUR HANDS BEFORE THIS NEXT PART. I'M SUPER CEREAL!
Using your paws(lawl) mix the meat, minced stems, jalapenos and cream cheese togeather thoroughly.
again using your hands, fill each mushroom with the mixture. dont be afraid to heap it in there.
next. sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top of the mushrooms.
Bake for 20 minutes at 400 degrees and let cool before eating.
ENJOY!
