Taken a few years back when I was down in Panama City Beach, FL. Yea, I take a lot of pics when im down there. The city pier was quite empty that night. Which is odd during the summer. Theres always a good bit of people out there fishing on the end.

T'is from a Digital Sony Cybershot. This pic was taken quite a while back and from what I remember, the hardest thing was lining up the lights and taking a still shot. The camera is notorious for taking blurry pictures and I remember the wind kicking up quite a bit out there. Thanks for the Comment and Watch too!
You're most welcome. (:
I spent too much money this summer on a new digital camera... takes great pictures, but I never find the time to go out and take any! So it was kinda wasted... oh well, sooner or later....
This pic reminded me of the pier I used to go to back home for photos at sunset, though our pier wasn't that long, or at least didn't look it.... I've tried for that same shot out there, but never managed to get it. Well done.

Hehe, thanks alot. I took this with a camera that had to be perfectly still..or else you get a blurry picture. I hated the thing. But I will say, it took some awesome shots WHEN it worked. I've managed to replace the thing, but still need to get the money up to go out and buy a good SLR. I could really come up with some stuff then.
Well see those Coke machines in the distance? Thats half way :P It extends out just about the same distance from where I took it to the Machines after them. It's the longest pier i've been on. The things been destroyed so many times, thats why it's leaning here and there.

Ya, I know how difficult those shots are... I used to try and do night photos with my old digital, and I always ended up having to brace it against something solid, and even then it usually took several shots before I got one perfectly still. For that purpose I ended up buying a tripod and used that along with the delayed shutter option whenever possible to endure nothing could be moving the camera when it went off. That camera died in the gulf a couple years ago when I was out taking sunset photos and got hit by an unexpected wave... this summer I replaced it with an S700 - couldn't afford a real SLR, so I settled for one of those pseudo-SLR types when I saw a good deal on it... has nothing on a real SLR, save the price, but it takes decent enough pics, and far better than most purely digital cams. For now I'm satisfied with it, though mostly because I just haven't had the opportunity to go out and shoot enough to crave the SLR functions anyway.
Panama City Beach is a lot further north than I am, though I thought all the really big piers were on the atlantic side. We have some decent sized ones in Venice and Sarasota, but nothing like that. The biggest we had in Venice was the pier at Sharky's. http://skycommand.org/twilight_pier.jpg
